• Run a defined area of the home, with the authority and accountability to make care decisions.
• Coordinate the day‑to‑day running of your care area.
• Provide personal care to residents.
• Offer leadership and guidance to the care team.
• Manage monthly routine medication and supervise the care team when delivering this.
• Respond to any and all emergency situations.
• Serve as a named nurse for individual residents, focusing on needs assessments and personal care plans.
• Review resident care plans in line with Signature policy bi‑monthly.
• Build strong relationships with residents, involving them in decision‑making about their care.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Act as a role model for all staff and mentor the care services team, sharing specialist knowledge to uphold the highest standards of care.

• Active NMC registration.
• Awareness of CQC regulations.
• Working knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
• Post‑registration qualifications are a big advantage.
• Experience with or newly qualified in nursing.
