Responsibilities- Provide appropriate nursing evidence‑based care for an allocated group of patients
- Act as an accountable professional, working in line with NMC standards of proficiency
- Recognise and work within the limits of your competency
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team using resources efficiently
- Deliver quality care to patients and work effectively within the nursing team
- Carry out a variety of clinical procedures with competence
- A comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction

- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
- Minimum Level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice
- GCSEs Grade A‑C in Maths and English or equivalent
- Care Certificate
- Previous experience working within a health/care setting in the relevant area
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Understanding of the role of the Nursing Associate within the team and organisation
- Act in line with NMC professional standards (Code of Practice)
- Relevant clinical skills in the area of work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal, non‑verbal)
- Ability to recognise own limitations and seek advice or escalation when appropriate
- Participation in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- IT awareness and ability to use NHS systems
You must hold appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) and the Order 2020, and a disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
