This is an exciting opportunity for an STR worker/ Health Care Assistant to support our Clozapine clinic, and depot clinic services in Brighton and Hove in a fulltime post.
We are looking for someone with STR/ HCA experience to work as part of our team in Clozapine clinics, across Brighton and Hove in addition to supporting the depot clinic services to carry out blood monitoring and health screening for clients. The role extends to supporting allocated clinic clients with their mental and physical health and to provide monitoring/ support with their social circumstances and overall recovery.
Mainduties of the job
We welcome applications from those who are highly motivated, and enthusiastic to work alongside our existing team of HCAs/ STR worker and Nurses. The role would suit someone who is resourceful and flexible with time management.
The successful candidates would be expected to travel between our sites at Brighton General Hospital and Hove Polyclinic depending upon service needs, there is also a number of regular home visits across the city.
The client group is from our community mental health services across Brighton and Hove. There will be regular high quality supervision, support and training to develop your skills in working with people who have severe and enduring mental illness.

Person Specification Qualifications- Care Certificate (or complete this within the first 12 weeks in post)
- Evidence of a commitment to lifelong learning
- Any relevant training such as smoking cessation, phlebotomy training, motivational interviewing to promote change etc. NVQ level 3
- Experience of working with people with mental health needs in a paid or voluntary capacity
- Experience running clinics with indirect supervision
- Experience working as part of a team
- Experience of being supervised
- Experience of analysing, recording and communicating complex information
