Irwin and Colton have been engaged to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor for a leading Tier 1 Principal Contractor, delivering major construction and engineering projects across London and the Southeast. The organisation is renowned for its technical excellence, long-term project pipeline and strong commitment to sustainability and innovation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a foundation in health and safety who's eager to learn, develop, and progress their career. The role covers a regional area and will include regular travel.
Responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Advisor will include:
 
* Visit site, provide advice on health, safety and fire-related matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards
 
* Conducting accident and incident investigations, preparing accurate reports
 
* Undertaking audits and inspections across multiple sites, identifying areas for improvement
 
* Supporting the rollout of key safety initiatives across the organisation
 
* Delivering training on major risk topics, safe working practices and organisational life-saving rules
The successful Senior Health and Safety Advisor will have:
 
* Experience in a similar health and safety role ideally from within construction or a related high-risk industry
 
* Understanding of UK regulations (LOLER, Work at Height, CDM, Asbestos, Manual Handling, COSHH, etc.)
 
* NEBOSH Certificate, ideally hold or working towards NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent
