Are you a Newly Qualified Paramedic in your first or second year of post-registration practice seeking structured support and genuine frontline experience?

Echo Fire and Medical Ltd is a CQC-registered independent ambulance provider delivering NHS-commissioned 999 emergency response services. We are recruiting full-time NQPs to join our Sheffield base, working across frontline 999 response, critical care transfers and high-profile operational deployments.

You will complete a structured induction, receive training on ZOLL X-Series cardiac monitoring equipment and benefit from ongoing clinical supervision within a strong governance framework aligned to NHS standards.

You will respond to live NHS 999 calls on behalf of the ambulance service, gaining meaningful frontline exposure while also experiencing specialist deployments supporting major national events and high-profile productions.

Starting salary is £32,760 with 28 days annual leave, NEST pension scheme and overtime opportunities, including enhanced rates on selected bank holidays.

If you are motivated, reflective and ready to build strong foundations for a sustainable paramedic career, we welcome your application.

Main duties of the job

As a Newly Qualified Paramedic, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of operational deployments based from our Sheffield hub.

You will respond to NHS 999 emergency calls, undertake urgent and critical care transfers, and support a variety of specialist deployments. You will assess, treat, stabilise, and safely convey patients in line with national clinical guidelines, exercising sound clinical judgement appropriate to your level of experience.

The role includes providing outstanding clinical care to patients, accurate and contemporaneous completion of Patient Report Forms (PRFs), effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary colleagues, and active participation in clinical governance processes, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.

You will work as part of a supportive team environment, contributing positively to operational readiness, patient safety, and the continued development of your own clinical competence through our structured NQP programme.
