We are excited to be offering an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Pharmacist in Paediatric Palliative Care and Academic Link role. This unique role offers the successful candidate a combined position, working three days per week within the Evelina London Pharmacy team and two days per week with the academic pharmacy team at King's College London university.
Main duties of the jobProvision of a clinical pharmacy service to the Evelina London Children's Hospital Palliative care team
Supporting the ongoing development and collaboration of the undergraduate MPharm curriculum and in placement provision to ensure teaching reflects current clinical practice
Provision of academic teaching and professional role modelling to undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students at KCL, specifically the postgraduate Pharmacist Independent Prescribing (PIP) PG Cert
Support in the provision of post‑graduate academic programmes across GSTT such as the UCL MSc in International Practice and Policy
Support in the provision of the pharmacy departmental academic offerings such as the Visiting Pharmacy Professional (VPP) programme and International Foundation Masterclass in Paediatric Pharmaceutical Care.
Support the Principal Pharmacist for Education and Workforce Development with education, training and development across GSTT and work collaboratively with other members of the Pharmacy education and training team
When required, participate in the provision of pharmaceutical care at ward / clinic level.

Jobresponsibilities Leadership
To lead clinical pharmacy services for paediatric palliative care patients in accordance with the priorities set by the post holder and the clinical lead pharmacist, in order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs in these patients.
- To ensure the delivery of pharmaceutical services to paediatric palliative care patients
- To identify and promote best practice
- To ensure drug information provided in the paediatric formulary is up to date and evidence based
- To implement agreed clinical governance initiatives
- To motivate and inspire others
- To proactively develop clinical pharmacy services in line with local and national objectives
- To demonstrate innovation
- To work collaboratively with senior pharmacy, medical and nursing staff, the multidisciplinary team and management and to participate in the pharmacy services agenda in accordance with the agreed objectives
