Band 7.

Are you an experienced cardiology nurse looking to develop your career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within a dynamic interventional cardiology service?

We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Acute Coronary Intervention (ACI) Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our coronary services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for patients with coronary heart disease undergoing coronary intervention, including PCI, across acute and elective pathway.

The Role

As the Acute Coronary Intervention CNS, you will work as an autonomous specialist practitioner, leading on the assessment, coordination, education, and ongoing management of patients before and after coronary intervention.

A core element of the role is acting as the MDT Coordinator for the Acute Coronary Intervention pathway, serving as the central point of contact for the interventional cardiology MDT. You will facilitate effective MDT communication, support timely clinical decision-making, coordinate MDT meetings and outcomes, and ensure agreed treatment plans are implemented and followed through.

You will work closely with cardiology consultants, nursing teams, and the wider multidisciplinary team, contributing to improved clinical outcomes, excellent patient experience, and supported self-management across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
