Job SummaryBand 5 Theatre Nurse Practitioner – Cardiothoracic Theatres. This post is for our Thoracic and Robotics Theatres. The development of a new centre has created vacancies for Band 5 senior cardiothoracic scrub practitioners. We are looking to recruit skilled and experienced individuals who are looking for a new challenge. They will be providing clinical leadership support across the cardiac surgical programme delivered in a new 10 theatre complex with cardiac, thoracic, robotic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm surgery, complex electrophysiology cases and the nationally recognised Heart Attack Centre which services North and East London.
There is the opportunity to develop leadership skills, mentorship and development of junior staff members and look towards opportunities for further academic studies. There is the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, spend time mentoring junior staff and reinforcement of safe practice within a large theatre setting.
Be a proficient practitioner in Cardiothoracic Theatres, the post holder acts as a professional role model and clinical teacher. He/she also provides effective mentorship and supervision, participating in the education and training of nursing and non‑nursing staff. To ensure safe, efficient timely individualised care is delivered in line with Local and National targets.
