Role OverviewAs a Senior Medical Writer
, you will serve as a key communicator across client accounts and work streams, producing high‑quality medical communications content that meets client objectives, timelines and budgets while contributing to broader strategy and team development.
You will develop accurate, insightful and compelling content across publications and other materials, drawing on at least 3 years of experience in a medical communications agency environment.
About the roleYou will play a central role in delivering scientifically robust, strategically aligned content across a range of medical communications outputs.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of clinical abstracts, posters and manuscripts
- Ensuring deliverables meet client objectives, timelines and budgets
- Contributing to account strategy and team development
- Driving quality and scientific excellence across projects
This role combines scientific expertise, project ownership, effective communication and mentoring responsibilities. You will work closely with scientific, client services and creative colleagues to deliver impactful work and support business growth.
What You’ll Bring- A degree in a life science or biomedical discipline (MSc or PhD advantageous)
- At least 3 years of experience in a medical communications agency environment
- Proven ability to develop accurate, insightful and compelling content across publications and other materials
- Strong scientific literacy and ability to interpret and communicate complex data with clarity and precision
- Excellent written English, with strong attention to detail and consistency
- Competence in Microsoft Office and reference management tools (e.g., End Note) and client project management systems (e.g., Datavision, Veeva)
- Experience leading conversations with clients and/or external experts as a medical communications specialist
- Structured support to progress into Associate Principal and Principal roles, including targeted mentoring and coaching and exposure to cross‑functional strategic work
