Health & Safety Manager

Location:

Glasgow, London, Cardiff

Contract Type:
Temporary (6 months)

Daily Rate: £325 - £350 umbrella

Working Pattern:
Full Time 36 hours. Monday - Friday. Hybrid working 2 days in office

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Health and Safety Competent Person, providing expertise in health and safety management.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory health and safety obligations, staying updated with legislation changes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement changes, identify risks, and promote a positive health & safety culture.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and enhance health & safety policies and procedures in accordance with best practises.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and key stakeholders to clarify health & safety roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct audits to assess compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training, including managerial training.
  • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning as necessary.
  • Coordinate accident investigations, including incidents reportable under the Reporting of Incidents Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage DSE assessments and procurement of DSE equipment for reasonable adjustments.
Essential
  • National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH).
  • Technical Membership of IOSH (Tec IOSH).
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven aptitude for informal management of others.
