Locum MRI Band 7 Radiographer

Our friendly Radiology department at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 radiographer to join the radiographic team at Croydon University Hospital.

The successful candidate will be based in the MRI departments at the main site of Croydon University Hospital.

Interview date TBC. We are currently not supporting applicants who require two-tier sponsorship.

Our Radiology Department is well equipped with up-to-date facilities. The role will support the department in a senior position.

• Lead the delivery of a safe radiology service for all users through sound specialist knowledge, participation in research and audit activity, user involvement and a commitment to professional development.
• Assume day‑to‑day organisation of the rotational staff and resources to ensure effective utilisation.
• Ensure patient needs/expectations are met or exceeded and all patients are seen within Trust and National targets.
• Lead the MRI workload ensuring protocols and training are in place for all staff.
• Provide leadership and direct line management to rotational radiographers in collaboration with Lead Superintendents and Radiology manager.
• Provide line management support including appraisals in line with departmental needs.
• Assist with recruitment and retention of rotational staff.
• Maintain a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients.
• Develop and improve professional expertise via continuous professional development.
• Rotate throughout the department, providing expert knowledge and leadership in each area.
• Actively participate in on‑call and out‑of‑hours shifts to support a high quality service.
