This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive Administration team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Mainduties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and conscientious person to be part of a busy booking team providing administrative support to the clinical staff and patients.
You will need to have an attention for detail, exceptional organizational skills and good verbal and written communication skills.
You will be a team player with a flexible approach to work in order to meet the demands of the department. Applicants should have experience working in an Administration role.

Person Specification Knowledge and Qualifications- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English and Maths.
- Knowledge of the full range of administrative procedures, acquired through training and previous experience of working in an administrative environment.
- Awareness of the requirement to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
- NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Customer Service, Healthcare Support Services or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working in a non-routine environment, with demonstrable evidence of problem solving and resolving issues as they arise (acquired through experience and/or training to Vocational level 4 or equivalent).
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment, resolving queries and using initiative to ensure first‑class service delivery.
- Previous NHS experience, or experience of working in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrable understanding of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and/or Knowledge of the NHS obligations under the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duties.
- Being familiar with, and adhering to Trust policies and guidance on infection prevention and control.
- Completing all required training and education (both via e-learning and face‑to‑face) on infection prevention and control.
- Taking personal responsibility so far as is reasonably practicable, in helping ensure that effective prevention and control of health care associated infections is embedded into everyday practice and applied consistently.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
