An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychologist specialising in eating disorders to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic team based in London, Greater London. This position is available for an immediate start, offering competitive rates.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Psychologist will provide psychological assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with eating disorders, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will offer therapeutic support, develop treatment plans, and liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. The psychologist will utilise Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) techniques to support patients in managing their eating disorders. Additionally, they will participate in service and business planning activities, maintain professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and comply with the Trust’s policies and procedures.
Qualificationsand Experience
- Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Expertise in psychological assessments and interventions for eating disorders.
- Strong experience with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
- A high level of clinical skills as evidenced by peer review and reports.
- Evidence of incorporating core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness into their work with others.
- Willingness to work flexibly across a range of clinic models, venues, and days of the week.
- Good communication skills and level of IT literacy.
- An interest to advance professionally as evidenced by attendance and contribution to reflective practice meetings, reliability meetings, and/or other CPD events within their professional clinical practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
