Job Overview

Pulse is now recruiting an experienced Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist to join Central London Community Healthcare’s Inner North West Division. This role is based at The Medical Centre, Woodfield Road
, with clinical work delivered across mainstream schools in Westminster and Chelsea.

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist with strong educational experience to support children and young people through high‑quality assessment, intervention, and statutory work. The service follows a whole systems approach
, and the successful clinician will play a key role in supporting communication needs across school environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intervention for children in mainstream school settings
  • Complete Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)
  • Deliver therapy and support in line with EHCP‑specified provision
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, families, and wider professionals
  • Apply a whole systems approach to support communication needs across school communities
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Experience working in mainstream schools
  • Competence in completing EHCNAs and delivering EHCP‑based provision
  • Understanding of the whole systems approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Car driver not required
