Job overviewWe are excited to announce we are recruiting an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our Adult Eating Disorder Outpatient Team. ETT provide intensive support in the community and in patients homes to improve accessibility and reduce inpatient admissions.
The post holder will work within the Outpatient service supporting with ETT duties and outpatient duties. They will provide clinical expertise and be a point of escalation. They will support the implementation of ETT, ensuring the team meet its objectives. The ANP will work clinically, hold a caseload and support junior staff with complex cases.
This role will be pivotal in supporting the changes that are currently in progress across our Eating Disorder services within the provider collaborative, and to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible care to the patients that we serve. Key priorities will be supporting with training, development and providing therapy, assessment, consultation, and treatment.

Main duties of the job- To be responsible for managing and prioritising own client workload of adults with complex and severe anorexia nervosa.
- To provide appropriate therapy as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment plan.
- To be responsible for implementing a range of group work interventions focusing on life skills training, motivational and creative activities, systemic, psychological, and psychotherapeutic interventions for individual patients, and carers, families and groups.
- To be responsible for recording clinical work and communicating, both orally and in writing, in a skilled and constructive manner highly complex or distressing information, for example regarding the experience and effects of anorexia and other severe eating disorders.
- Supporting the team with complex cases and jointly visiting patients in their home or in the community to offer senior support.
- To work in close liaison with other services including health and social care, acute hospitals, services across the ED pathway and within the provider collaborative.
- To work collaboratively with the ANP for SLAM Enhanced Treatment Team
- To work closely with patients and their carers, offering family interventions, support, and guidance.
- To act as care coordinator, taking responsibility for initiating planning and review of care plans.
