We are seeking to recruit an experienced CAMHS practitioner to provide clinical supervision to practitioners in the Tower Hamlets Education Wellbeing Service (THEWS) for 0.6 WTE.
THEWS is a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) established following the government Green Paper:
Transforming Children & Young People’s Mental Health Provision. The service has undergone recent expansion.
THEWSispart of the Tower Hamlets Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This service is basedin a newly refurbished office in the vibrant borough of Whitechapel.
The service embraces continual improvement and wellbeing of the staffandhas a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement and working together with partner agencies toprovide the highest quality service to the population we serve.
The role is a senior leadership and management role in THEWS. Itinvolvesbeing a line manager, as well as school and cluster lead overseeing whole school approach work.
The role as a clinical supervisor involves overseeing assessments, formulations and interventionplansfor the parents, children, and young people thepractitionerswork with;holding in mind a wider range of therapeutic modalities (e.g., systemic),in order to maximise outcomes.
This role involves supporting and developing the abilities of practitioners to deliver CBT-informed interventions for mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, OCD and behaviour difficulties to parents and young people in secondary and primary schools.
This role also involves ensuring that the recording and reporting of clinical work by practitioners is consistent with the policies and protocols of the NHS and Trust, and that clinical and goal-based outcome measures are being used as required by MHSTs.
