Clinical Research Coordinator/Cognitive Rater | Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
The Imperial Memory Unit (IMU) has been running clinical trials for over 13 years, focusing on disease modifying treatment trials in early Alzheimer’s disease but also including observational studies and trials of advanced diagnostics. The Imperial Memory Unit was recently awarded funds by the UK Dementia Trials Network (UKDTN) to support the delivery of early phase clinical trials in Alzheimer's disease.
This post is funded by the aforementioned.
Responsibilities for this post will include collection of research data (including cognitive data), and coordination of patients participating in clinical research. Therefore, the post holder must have prior experience of administering cognitive and neuropsychological rating scales in Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) in Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Research coordination experience in the aforementioned field is desirable.
The post holder will also be expected to develop skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of clinical research. The majority of time will be spent in a hospital research clinic setting (namely Hammersmith hospital (main site) and Charing Cross hospital) during patient visits and will also spent time facilitating recruitment by calling patients, and if necessary visiting other West London Memory Clinics.
The post holder will facilitate high standards of care and work closely with the staff of the clinical dementia service.
