Job summary

Growing With You is part of the Camden CAMHS and is a 0-25 team working with Camden Children Looked After, Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers and Care Experienced Young People. It is a multi-disciplinary specialist team which is co-located with social workers from the Local Authority Children Looked After and Permanency Teams. The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that assesses mental health needs;

advises on appropriate mental health provisions, risk management; care planning and provides interventions and therapeutic support to children, young people and their carers. The team has a community approach and will provide a range of interventions in an attempt to engage and support this group of young people to develop relationships with professionals

The team promotes joint working between different agencies and works in partnership with carers and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people, whilst maintaining professional independence. The post holder will hold a caseload of highly complex service users. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of evidenced based care to a group of service users, conscious of their changing healthcare needs and varying levels of complexity, working collaboratively, with other clinicians and stakeholders.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

You will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary team delivering a range of outcome focussed, evidence based, and complex interventions and responsible for the formulation and delivery of specialised programmes of care. The post holder will contribute to the quality, safety and continuous improvement of services provided to service users and their families. The post holder will foster a culture of networking in an open and transparent way with internal and external partners.

• Degree level as a minimum plus developed specialist and practical knowledge equating to postgraduate degree
• Registration with HCPC or relevant body as a Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist,

• Additional clinical qualifications i.e. CBT/EMDR/NET,

• High level of skill and knowledge in safeguarding and risk management
• Personal duty of care in relation to equipment or resources
• Ability to manage own clinical case load
• Basic keyboard skills for updating client records
