Registered Manager Domiciliary Care
Location:
Enfield, North London Salary: £40,000 £ 45,000 per annum, depending on experience Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday 09:00-16:00 We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded domiciliary care provider that is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead and develop its home care service in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Domiciliary Care Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior care professional looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the continued growth and development of a quality-focused care service.
You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management, compliance, quality and performance of the service, ensuring that people receiving care are supported safely, respectfully and in line with their individual needs. The successful candidate will be confident working within the CQC regulatory framework, have strong leadership skills and be passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
The Role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the service and ensuring consistently high standards of care and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service. Ensuring the service operates in accordance with CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act and relevant legislation. Leading, supporting and developing care coordinators, field supervisors and care staff. Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and service-user reviews are completed and regularly reviewed. Monitoring care quality through audits, spot checks, observations and quality assurance processes.
Managing safeguarding concerns, complaints, incidents and investigations effectively. Overseeing recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance management of staff. Ensuring care visits are appropriately planned, allocated and delivered in accordance with service users' care plans. Maintaining accurate and compliant staff and service-user records. Building positive relationships with service users, families, healthcare professionals and local authorities. Supporting CQC inspections and ensuring the service remains inspection-ready.
Identifying opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and performance of the service. Supporting the growth of the service and developing strong relationships with commissioners and other professionals. Participating in a shared and fairly rotated out-of-hours on-call rota with other office staff. About You We are looking for an experienced care professional who can demonstrate strong leadership and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding care.
You will ideally have:
Previous management experience within domiciliary or home care. Experience managing care teams and overseeing care delivery within the community. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance requirements. A good understanding of safeguarding, medication management, risk assessments and person-centred care planning. Experience managing complaints, incidents, investigations and staff performance. Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills. The confidence to make decisions and manage challenging situations effectively.
Experience working with local authorities, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or be actively working towards this qualification. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Willingness to participate in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota.
Desirable Experience It would be particularly advantageous if you have:
Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager. Experience as a Deputy Manager within domiciliary care and are ready to progress. Experience preparing for and supporting CQC inspections. Experience using electronic care planning and rostering systems. Experience supporting business development and securing new care packages.
