Support Worker British Sign Language; BSL

Position: Support Worker – British Sign Language (BSL) Required
Nani Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Support Workers with British Sign Language (BSL) skills for care and support services, Central London.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker
- British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or above
- Confident communicating with service users using sign language
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete the required DBS process
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date mandatory care training
- Ability to provide suitable employment references
- Good written and spoken English
- Reliable and professional
Desirable:
- Care Certificate
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or hearing impairments
- Experience using Makaton or other communication methods
Main Duties:
- Supporting service users with daily living activities
- Communicating effectively using BSL
- Supporting personal care where required
- Promoting independence, dignity and choice
- Completing care notes and handovers
- Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Supporting service users in the community
