As our organisation continues to grow, we are expanding our training team and looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and experienced Healthcare Trainer / Assessor to join us.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in developing our care workforce and ensuring our staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence required to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality care.
The RoleAs a Healthcare Trainer / Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training and assessing the competency of new and existing care staff.
You will ensure our teams remain compliant with regulatory requirements while developing their practical skills and knowledge across key areas of health and social care.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver mandatory healthcare training, including safeguarding, moving and handling, first aid and other essential subjects.
Deliver specialist training across areas such as dementia care, medication, person-centred care and end-of-life care.
Conduct practical assessments, competency checks and knowledge assessments.
Assess staff performance and identify areas for additional training or development.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and competency records.
Ensure training content reflects current legislation, regulations and healthcare best practice.
Keep up to date with CQC requirements and developments across the health and social care sector.
Work closely with HR, management and operational teams to identify training needs.
Provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding staff competency and development.
Support the ongoing development of training programmes and learning materials.
Travel to different locations when required to deliver training and assessments.
Requirements Essential- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or a relevant healthcare qualification – MUST HAVE.
- Previous experience delivering healthcare or social care training.
- Experience delivering training in areas such as moving and handling, medication, safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Strong understanding of the health and social care sector.
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Confident assessing staff competency and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel to different locations when required.
