We are seeking an ambitious Band 6 MRI Radiographer to join our growing team within the Community Diagnostic Centre at Wembley, making a significant impact on patient care across North West London through the delivery of a high-quality outpatient MRI service.
As our new Band 6 MRI Radiographer, you'll have the opportunity to develop and enhance your MRI clinical expertise while broadening your leadership, teaching and service development skills. Working with state-of-the-art equipment and a diverse patient population, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding imaging services as part of the NHS Community Diagnostic Centre programme.
Working alongside the MRI Modality Lead and Band 7 Radiographers, you'll be instrumental in delivering the daily MRI service, maintaining high standards of patient care and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. We won't just value your clinical skills; we'll rely on your professionalism, organisational abilities and commitment to excellence to help keep our department running smoothly.
This role is ideal for an ambitious radiographer looking to expand their MRI expertise and develop the skills, experience and leadership qualities required for future progression into Band 7 roles.

Main duties of the jobThis role will involve performing a broad spectrum of MRI scanning procedures, including neuro, renal, hepatobiliary and gynaecological imaging. Integral to this are patient safety screening, administration of iv contrast / iv cannulation and maintaining documentation of procedures.
Currently this is mostly clinical work, although a small amount of research-based work is undertaken in the department. Communication and liaising with other staff groups including Radiologists, Nursing staff, admin and clerical.
