We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Substance Misuse Worker to support a Children & Young People’s Service in Hackney, earning £33.64 per hour
. This is a locum position for a 2-month contract with the potential for extension. You will be engaged for 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 16:00.

What you will do:

• Conduct assessments for individuals experiencing substance misuse issues, developing tailored support plans.
• Provide one-to-one and group sessions to address challenges related to drugs and alcohol, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
• Manage a diverse caseload, working closely with colleagues and partner agencies to provide comprehensive care.
• Implement harm reduction techniques, encouraging positive behavioural changes among service users.
• Facilitate educational workshops to raise awareness about substance misuse and its effects on young people.

Requirements:

• A valid DBS check on the Update Service.
• Proven experience in managing substance misuse cases involving drugs and alcohol.
• Strong skills in caseload management and key working.
• A solid understanding of harm reduction strategies and recovery models.
