The Mental Health Single Point of Access is at the centre of urgent and crisis mental health care across Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow. Alongside our 24/7 SPA, the team also delivers NHS 111

  • 2 mental health provision and Mental Health Urgent Community Response, creating a unique service where senior clinicians can work across telephone triage, urgent response, crisis pathways and system-wide decision-making.
  • 2 and MH UCR. You will provide senior oversight of complex referrals, telephone triage, urgent and crisis presentations and professional-to-professional contacts, supporting the team to make safe, confident and proportionate decisions.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Band 7 Senior Clinician who enjoys challenge, autonomy and leading from the front. You will make complex clinical decisions, support staff in real time and help shape how people access the right care at the right time. This is a role for someone who wants more than a traditional clinical post. You will influence pathways, lead practice across a fast-moving service and play a key role in the continued development of urgent and crisis mental health care As a Band 7 Senior Clinician, you will be one of the key clinical leaders within SPA, NHS 111 and MH UCR.

You will lead the service clinically and operationally on shift, providing immediate support with risk, escalation and complex pathway decisions while maintaining oversight of service pressures and patient flow. You will supervise and develop staff, contribute to quality improvement, audit and performance and work closely with CATT, primary care, ambulance services, police and wider partners. You will have the opportunity to influence practice, develop new ways of working and help shape a service that sits at the heart of urgent mental health care across three boroughs.
