We are partnered with a well-established, independent medical communications agency known for creating science-led campaigns with integrity. They work closely with pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare clients throughout the product lifecycle - from early development through post-launch. Deliverables include publications, patient- and HCP-education materials, digital content, and more.

The Role

As a Medical Writer, you will lead the creation of high-quality scientific content across a range of channels and audiences. You will play a pivotal role in shaping scientific narratives, ensuring accuracy and compliance, supporting junior writers, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver work that is on brief, on time, and of high scientific integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver written materials such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, clinical summaries, and patient education materials.
  • Translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, engaging content for different audiences (HCPs, patients, regulatory, etc.)
  • Ensure all materials adhere to regulatory, compliance, and internal style / brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to strategic scientific messaging, collaborating with account managers, design, regulatory, medical affairs, and creative teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines.

You Should Have

  • A degree in life sciences / biomedical sciences or similar; higher degree (MSc / PhD) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in medical writing within a communications agency
  • Strong track record of producing publications, educational materials, HCP and patient-facing content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, scientific rigour, ability to manage complex content review cycles.
  • Good project management skills; ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Experience in Cardiology would be beneficial
