Band 5 Occupational Therapist

Location:

Hillingdon

Hours:

40 hours per week, term time, plus 120 additional hours across the year and staff training days

Contract:

Permanent

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Therapy Team. Working within a specialist educational setting, you will deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions that promote independence, participation and functional skills for children and young people with complex needs.

You will support assessment, treatment planning and therapy across areas including sensory processing, motor skills, activities of daily living, functional independence and access to learning. You will work collaboratively with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to embed occupational therapy strategies into everyday learning and support positive outcomes for pupils.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with children and young people with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and evidence-based intervention approaches.
  • An understanding of sensory processing, functional skills and promoting independence.
  • Excellent multidisciplinary working and communication skills.
  • Confidence working as part of a supportive team while developing clinical skills and knowledge.
  • A positive, flexible and child-centred approach with a passion for improving outcomes for young people.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
