Recovery Coordinator – Enable Drug & Alcohol Services (Enfield, London)

Location:

Old Court House, Windmill Hill, Enfield, EN2 6SA

Hours:

37 hours per well, Monday/ Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 9am-5pm with a late night on Tuesdays 12pm-8pm

Contract Type:
Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £28,487 - £ per annum £37,126.37

About the Role

As a Recovery Coordinator within Enable Drug & Alcohol Services in Enfield, you will play a key role in supporting individuals to make positive behavioural changes, reduce the risks associated with drug and alcohol use, and move towards sustained recovery. You will manage a caseload of service users, providing tailored support, signposting to appropriate services, and working collaboratively with partner agencies.

What You’ll Do
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working, and interventions that support progression from engagement through to structured treatment and sustained recovery
  • Manage a caseload of service users, developing, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans
  • Deliver structured one-to-one support and harm minimisation advice
  • Carry out assessments, recovery planning, and risk management plans
  • Facilitate and run group sessions within the service and wider community
  • Empower service users to set and safely achieve their recovery goals
  • Build strong relationships with GPs, healthcare professionals, social care networks, family members, and significant others
  • Support access to additional services beyond appointments through community partnerships
  • Engage and support volunteers and peer support workers
  • Apply interventions such as Brief Interventions, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychosocial Interventions (PSIs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and ITEP
  • Work across a range of needs including:
    Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) Alcohol use Non-opiate substance use Combined alcohol and non-opiate needs
To Succeed in This Role Essential
  • A strong passion for supporting individuals through recovery
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships with service users and stakeholders
  • Experience delivering person-centred or tailored interventions
  • Strong communication and motivational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
  • A community-focused and inclusive approach to practice
Desirable
  • Experience working within substance misuse services or similar roles
  • Knowledge of harm reduction approaches and recovery models
  • Experience facilitating group sessions or workshops
  • Understanding of partnership working across health and social care services
