Due to the implementation of a new IT system, we are looking for a number of enthusiastic Screening Officers to join the CSAS team on atemporary basis. The team of over 100 staff provides a pivotal role in the National Call and Recall service for Cervical Cancer Screening. The Screening Officer is a key role in ensuring that all participants of the programme arecalled for screening and receive their results.

This role is based at the Lister House office in Gildersome,Leeds.

Main duties of the job

This role will be responsible for:

  • To co-ordinate and ensure high quality administrative support for the Cervical Screening service within North of England Commissioning Support (NECS).
  • The Screening Officer will ensure allocated cases are processed in line with the Work Instructions.
  • The Screening Officer will be representing NECSin delivering call and recall provision nationally and will also support thewider aspects of the cervical screening programme e.g. cease and delays;incidents; comms; cytology laboratory results etc.
  • The post will involve close working with other colleagues within NECS, NHSE and PHE to support the delivery of a successful service.
  • To answer general telephone enquiries from GPs,surgery staff, screening office staff and laboratories and other health care professionals.
  • To provide the information needed by members ofthe Cervical Screening Team to carry out end-to-end processing to allocate CRMwork, using the Work Allocation Work Instruction.
