As a Public Health Principal
, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic public health priorities, tackling health inequalities and driving innovation across prevention, health improvement and health protection agendas.

• Lead strategic public health programmes focused on improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities across communities
• Provide expert leadership on commissioning, contract management, needs assessments and evidence-based service development
• Influence senior stakeholders across local government, NHS partners, voluntary sector organisations and wider system partners
• Drive utilisation of public health intelligence, JSNA insight and outcome frameworks to inform strategic decision‑making
• Support health protection priorities, service transformation, workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives

• Significant senior‑level public health leadership experience within a local authority, NHS or integrated health and care environment
• Strong track record of delivering population health improvement, prevention programmes and complex system change
• Experience leading commissioning, procurement, contract management and performance frameworks linked to measurable outcomes
• Ability to influence across organisational boundaries, secure stakeholder buy‑in and lead without direct authority
• Public health qualification, professional registration or equivalent experience with a commitment to continuous professional development
