Position: Clinical Lead / Clinical Nurse Specialist
An opportunity for an experienced Clinical Lead / Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide clinical leadership, competency assessment and specialist support within a leading London Based complex care provider. The role will involve working closely with senior management and Registered Management to maintain high standards of clinical care, support staff development and promote positive outcomes for service users.

Key areas of responsibility

• Lead and support clinical staff, Health Care Workers, Field Care Supervisors and Care Coordinators.

• Assess service users' needs and develop care plans, risk assessments and clinical audits.

• Deliver competency-based training and assessment for delegated healthcare tasks.

• Provide clinical guidance on medication administration, MAR charts, escalation procedures and complex care.

• Support competency assessment and sign-off of clinical staff.

• Work closely with service users, families, staff and the multidisciplinary team, including ICBs and social services.

• Provide specialist guidance covering tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, neurogenic bowel management, stoma care and catheter care.

• Provide clinical support relating to brain injury, spinal injury, dementia, challenging behaviour, tissue viability, pressure area care and autonomic dysreflexia.

• Provide advice regarding risks associated with complex medical conditions and support appropriate risk management.

• Deliver training and supervision relating to bowel management, including manual evacuation, digital stimulation, removal of faeces and trans-anal irrigation.

• Respond appropriately to clinical incidents and contribute to continuous improvement in quality and outcomes.

Essential requirements

• Active UK NMC PIN and nursing qualification.

• Train-the-Trainer certificate.

• Evidence of specialist clinical training, including areas such as Tracheostomy care.

• Experience of complex care and clinical competency assessment.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Flexible and adaptable approach.

• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
