This new posts will strengthen paediatric allergy care across WLCH by providing advanced clinical expertise, improving continuity, and supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care for children and young people with allergy
Main duties of the jobThe Paediatric Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for the delivery and development of specialist allergy services for children and young people across North West London. Working within the paediatric allergy multidisciplinary team, the role will support improved outcomes, reduced unwarranted variation, and high-quality, equitable allergy care.
The Band 7 CNS shall be expected to lead and manage his/her own patient cohort. In addition, work as part of the clinical nurse specialist team, cross covering patient cohorts where necessary and working alongside the MDT at all times.
The role involves working within a seamless specialist asthma / respiratory and allergy medical and nursing service that is aimed at continuously improving standards of patient care and facilitating multi-professional working. This will be achieved through clinical practice, management, education, research and audit.
