Day Opportunities services deliver a varied and exciting program of outcome focused learning, employment and social opportunities for our disabled customers. We require experienced Support Workers to support the effective delivery of services in all aspects of customer experience for adults with profound and multiple disabilities.

What does this involve? Key to your success in this role will be an ability to:
Empower customers to have independence and choices, and to develop meaningful relationships with peers. Supporting customers with complex needs to engage in activities in a group or 1:1 session. Assistance with personal care and mobility, based on a Care and Support plan. Using communication skills to enhance communication, inclusion and engagement. Embracing our values in all that you do is really important to succeeding in this role Who are we looking for?

A team member who is experienced and confident in supporting customers by:
Adapting support to suit the needs of an adult with profound learning disabilities, and/or additional healthcare and support needs. Creating and adapting engaging activities sessions which enable individual(s) with complex sensory needs to participate. Communicating with customers using a range of techniques such a picture exchange, objects of reference, social stories, schedules and Makaton. Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time.
