The vacancy
The Implementation Delivery Manager is a key role within in the NHS Race and Health Observatory’s Perinatal Equity and Anti-Discrimination Programme (PEADP), a national programme commissioned by NHS England to support meaningful action on racism and discrimination in perinatal services across England.
The role will be responsible for the operational grip, coordination and continuous improvement needed to deliver PEADP king with the Senior Implementation Programme Manager, delivery partners and participating Trusts, you will oversee day-to-day delivery, keep activity aligned to agreed plans, identify and respond to delivery risks, and use programme data to support clear reporting and informed decision-making. This role will suit someone who is highly organised, confident working across multiple partners, and able to translate complex delivery information into practical action.
- Provide day-to-day delivery oversight for PEADP, keeping programme sessions, milestones and operational activity on track across participating maternity and neonatal sites.
- Coordinate delivery partner contributions and maintain clear communication, ensuring responsibilities are understood, progress is visible and agreed outputs are delivered to a high standard.
- Use participant uptake, engagement and Trust-level progress data to identify risks, target support, strengthen reporting and maintain momentum across the national rollout.
- Shape and manage structured learning activity, including communities of practice, action learning sets and quality improvement-focused sessions with NHS senior leaders.
- Act as a senior operational contact for participants and delivery partners, resolving day-to-day challenges and escalating sensitive, complex or programme-wide risks at the right time.
- Translate delivery data, stakeholder feedback and emerging insight into practical recommendations that strengthen programme planning, resourcing, continuous improvement and budget oversight.
