Support Worker, Healthcare Nursing

Working as a Support Worker at Alne Hall your duties will include the following:
Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care. Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families. Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times. Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests. Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.

Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards. Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision. If applicable, assist in the administration of medication. Information about the Service:
Hill House is a Mental health residential home that is situated in the West Midlands; we aim to provide a high quality, safe and personalised service that promotes choice, dignity, control, and quality of life for all service users. We specialise in supporting people with mental health diagnoses and/or a learning disability who require 24hr residential support due to their complex needs and/or behaviour that are considered to be challenging.

Through careful recruitment, induction, appraisals, supervision, and a training program that includes the assessment of mental health and wellbeing, risk management and rehabilitation we can achieve excellent outcomes for our residents. Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:
Previous experience working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior preferred. Caring, kind and considerate. Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life. Good communication skills. Able handle sometimes challenging situations. Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
