Due to internal promotion, the CNWL all age mental health Single Point of Access has a vacancy for aCAMHS SPABand 7 Team manager. This is an excitingopportunityto join a growing,creative and innovative service as part of our management team. We are looking foranexperiencedmentalhealth professional(Nurse, Occupational Therapist,Social Workeror psychological therapist), and itwould be a fantastic career progression for a Band 6 clinician who wishes to broaden their experienceor a current Band 7 looking for a new challenge.
This dynamic multi-disciplinary service has been running since
June 2021, offering asingle point of access formental healthtele-triage, signposting, advice and support 24-hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days a yearfor young people under the age of 18.The CAMHSSPA Team Managerwillwork closely withtheadult SPA and SHINE Team Managers and with the Clinical Lead for CAMHSSPAto maintaintheday to day running of the service, providing senior clinical input and support to the team, playing a key role in building internal and external interfaces, and contributing to the ongoing development of the SPA.The
CAMHSSPATeam Manager will be expected to work aflexibleshift pattern, although working nights is notrequiredin this role.
Main duties of the job Central and North West London NHS Trust is committed to providing safe, effective services and providing patients and families with a positive experience.
TheCAMHS SPATeam Manageris responsible forthe daily running of the SPA (CAMHS) Team and supports the Clinical Lead in the operational management of the service.
Other responsibilities include:o Providing management & clinical supervision, coaching, mentoring of existing staff andnew staff taking up post; andmotivatingand supporting individuals to achieve their objectives.oContribute to the provision of training,coaching and clinical group supervision to the wider all-age SPA.o Answering calls to theCAMHSSPA in a patient and courteous manner, and to screen and prioritise these appropriately.o Undertaking clinical triageof calls to theCAMHSSPA, deciding on the correct care pathway for that call.o
Referring callers onto CAMHS local teamswhereappropriateand liaising with teams.o Signposting callers on as necessary into non-statutory, third sector services (Thrive networks).o Undertaking initial social care triage,andwhere necessary, signposting and referring on patients as appropriate.
