Aboutthe RoleWe are seeking an experienced Dyslexia (SpLD) Diagnostic Assessor for our neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment service for people aged 11 and over across the UK.
This is a remote (UK-Wide) role offered on a contractor basis with flexible sessions of a minimum availability of 4 per month.
A fee of £300 - £325 is paid for each completed assessment.
About UsLighthouse Pathways is a CQC-registered neurodevelopmental assessment service. We are launching a private, fully remote dyslexia diagnostic service for people aged 11 and over, including university students who need reports suitable for Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) applications. We are building a small panel of experienced assessors.
Key Responsibilities Include- Carry out remote diagnostic assessments for dyslexia
- Complete SASC compliant reports using a template system
- Conducting feedback sessions
- A SASC-recognised Level 7 assessor qualification and a current APC (Patoss, BDA or Dyslexia Guild), listed on the SASC register; or HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist with SpLD assessment experience
- At least 2 years' independent diagnostic practice after qualifying, including remote assessment
- Current-edition licensed test materials from the SASC Pre-16 and Post-16 lists
- Enhanced DBS (children's workforce), professional indemnity insurance, UK right to work, and ICO registration where required
- Your own supervision or peer review (at least two documented sessions a year), and an annual evidence pack with your registration, CPD log and a signed declaration
- Experience assessing 11–15-year-olds
- Experience with university and mature students and DSA evidence
