Research Assistant - Clinical & Affective Neuroscience

The post-holder will be part of the Clinical and Affective Neuroscience Group

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team led by Prof. Sarah Garfinkel and Prof. Camilla Nord (University of Cambridge). We are recruiting a research assistant to contribute to the running of a clinical trial. The post-holder will be responsible for conducting behavioural, interoceptive and emotion-based tasks and will contribute to the recruitment, tracking and retention of participants undergoing a mindfulness- and decentring-based intervention for depression and anxiety.

This work aims to understand the interoceptive mechanisms that help us perceive, understand and regulate our emotions.

We are looking for an RA with a background in psychology and/or cognitive neuroscience, with experience in behavioural and psycho-physiological testing and in clinical research and/or working on a clinical trial. Ability to code (python/R) and experience working with individuals with mental health conditions (anxiety/depression). Someone who enjoys teamwork, highly organised, self-directed, interested in the biological basis of emotion. Valid right to work in the UK covering at least one year (we are unable to sponsor a visa for this post).
