We’re looking for an experienced recruiter to take the lead on one of our most established desks, focused on mid‑to‑senior level permanent hiring across Commercial Shipping. You’ll manage exclusive, contingent, and retained roles with leading maritime businesses and build long‑term partnerships with ship owners, trading, commodities and broking houses.
You’ll step into a warm desk with a strong track record, high potential, and loyal clients who value partnership over transactions. This is your chance to grow a profitable desk with the backing of a trusted brand and a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering contingent, exclusive, and retained recruitment assignments in the shipping sector
- Recruiting for mid‑to‑senior level roles in technical or commercial disciplines
- Managing and growing relationships with new and existing clients globally
- Owning the full recruitment cycle: job briefing, search, candidate engagement, interviews, offer management
- Positioning yourself as a trusted industry expert — not just another recruiter
- Full‑Cycle/360 recruitment experience, from any industry
- A proven track record of placing permanent, professional candidates
- Confidence in managing exclusive and senior assignments
- Commercial awareness and a consultative, client‑first mindset
- Ambition to grow a successful, high‑reward desk in a specialist industry

- Total reward of circa £60,000 in year 1 (base + uncapped commission)
- Ownership of a warm, high‑potential desk with global reach
