HR Recruitment | Connecting HR Talent with businesses across London and the South | Senior Consultant at Macmillan Davies

Due to expansion, a major global media advisor, renowned for empowering leading global and domestic brands to make more informed decisions with their media investments, is looking to recruit on a temp-perm basis an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to focus on their UK business. With a global workforce of 250 employees, including 160 in the UK, they operate across the UK, New York, Singapore, and Asia.

Role Overview

Following internal restructuring, the company is seeking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to join their team in London. This is a temp-perm opportunity with a primary focus on the UK, but with some international responsibility.

The HR Manager will report directly to the International HR Director and be responsible for managing a small HR team. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing employee relations, recruitment, training and development, reward, and an understanding of payroll as well as policy and procedure updates.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the company’s ESG agenda.
  • Managing two junior HR team members.
  • Driving operational HR activities to support the business’ continued growth.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned HR professional who will be comfortable working within an owner-managed environment. A background in media is desirable but not essential, provided the candidate can demonstrate the necessary skills, experience, and cultural fit. They should be confident in their ability to professionally challenge and influence key stakeholders and possess the flexibility to work hands-on in supporting the continued development of a strong, respected HR team.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven HR experience in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to HR challenges.

This role comes with excellent benefits, hybrid working, bonus scheme, and 28 days annual leave plus your birthday off.
