ABOUT

THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive People & Talent Manager to lead HR and talent acquisition across the employee lifecycle for our London office, while also providing some support to our New York office too. This is a standalone generalist role, responsible for day to day HR administration, recruitment, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, HR systems management, and people and culture initiatives.

The role requires someone confident operating independently while partnering with managers and senior leaders to advise on people matters. More complex employee relations issues or director level HR projects will be supported by an external HR consultant.

This position offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen people processes while supporting a collaborative, fun and high performing culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage day to day HR administration across the UK and US, ensuring accurate employee records and documentation
  • Maintain and manage the HRIS (HiBob) and US HR platform (Just Works), ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the business, including 6/8 week entry interviews
  • Manage off-boarding processes, including documentation and exit interviews
  • Analyse exit feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end to end recruitment across the UK and US, including job briefs, advertising, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and support effective hiring decisions
  • Contribute to workforce planning discussions
  • Ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Employee Relations

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, offering clear and supportive guidance
  • Ensure company compliance with UK employment law, health and safety requirements, and internal policies
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate HR guidance and policy support to managers and employees
  • Manage employee relations matters, with support from external consultant for complex cases
  • Liaise with managers and senior leaders to coach and advise on people issues, from conduct to capability. Escalate more complex matters to the HR consultant when required
  • Support initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high performance culture
  • Lead engagement activities and feedback processes to enhance employee satisfaction and retention
  • Conduct regular people and culture check ins to support wellbeing and engagement.

Performance, Development & Succession

  • Support and coordinate the annual performance review and pay review cycle, ensuring timelines and documentation are managed effectively
  • Contribute to succession planning discussions and support career development frameworks
  • Help coordinate training initiatives, working with external providers where appropriate.

Payroll & Benefit

  • Provide timely and accurate payroll administration to support the Finance Director with monthly payroll
  • Ensure payroll data is accurate, approved, and submitted in line with deadlines
  • Administer employee benefits and act as the main point of contact for benefits queries.
