The Role

The people and culture assistant will be a key member of our people and culture team – they will be a motivated and proactive individual, who is committed to bettering the people and culture practice within Channel
3. They will be efficient in HR administration across a variety of activities, providing first‑line employee support with professionalism, care and discretion. The people and culture Assistant will be interested in using data to improve ways of working. They will also role model the Channel3 values influence others to behave similarly.

What would be expected of me as a People and Culture Assistant?

Recruitment and Promotions
  • Post job advertisements through the ATS and Linked In, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage interview scheduling for both permanent hires and associate opportunities.
  • Collect interview feedback and upload all documentation into the ATS.
  • Support the promotions process by coordinating panel availability and circulating required materials.
Onboarding and Offboarding
  • Own the full onboarding journey, including initiating background checks, ordering equipment, scheduling induction sessions, and setting up system accounts.
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and deeds of variation, ensuring timely completion and signature.
  • Manage offboarding activities, including coordinating laptop returns and closing accounts.
HRIS and Data Management
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy within the HRIS.
  • Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, using data insights to improve People Team processes and ways of working.
General People Team Support
  • Monitor and triage the shared People Team mailbox, responding to or delegating enquiries as appropriate.
  • Provide first‑line support for employee benefits, including enrolment and general queries.
  • Contribute to internal rebranding efforts across People Team documentation and templates.
  • Manage and update People Team distribution lists and shared mailboxes.
  • Support additional ad‑hoc tasks that ensure the smooth and efficient running of the People Team.

In addition, they will have:
  • Experience performing similar tasks within a People and Culture environment.
  • The adaptability to work effectively in varying environments, build strong rapport, and deliver great outcomes.
  • A proactive, solutions‑oriented approach, with a willingness to take ownership and continuously improve ways of working.
  • Confidence working with systems and data, including maintaining records, updating HRIS platforms, and producing reports.
  • The ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritise a busy workload.
  • A high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • A strong curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Strong ethics and integrity, acting as a positive role model to others.
