More about the company:

Our client is an international organisation operating in aviation and other complex, safety‑critical sectors. With teams across the UK, Europe and further afield, they deliver specialist capabilities that support a wide range of technical and mission‑critical operations. As the organisation continues to expand, they are investing in their people function and creating a new People Business Partner role for the region.

More about the role:

This is a chance to join as the first People Business Partner for Europe, working closely with aviation leadership teams to shape people strategy and support growth. The role combines strategic partnership with hands‑on delivery, helping to build workforce plans, strengthen leadership capability and improve the employee experience across multiple countries.

You will work with senior managers to design organisations, navigate change and drive a high‑performance and accountable culture. The environment is fast‑moving and safety‑critical, so you will need to be comfortable balancing compliance, pragmatism and effective judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders in the UK, EU and US to shape workforce planning, organisational design and leadership capability
  • Build trusted relationships with managers and employees to support engagement and performance
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and People Development teams to improve hiring, onboarding and ongoing development across the aviation teams
  • Lead and support on complex employee relations matters and promote wellbeing, inclusion and sound people practices
  • Work with Reward and People Development teams to deliver talent, capability and reward initiatives across multiple regions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and aviation‑specific regulatory requirements
  • Support business growth and transformation, coaching leaders through organisational change
  • Operate in a hybrid London role with occasional international travel
More about you
  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, defence or another safety‑critical sector
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and, ideally, exposure to EU employment matters
  • Ability to quickly build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth and operationally complex environment
  • Experience delivering people initiatives across the full employee lifecycle
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels
  • A practical and adaptable approach, able to work across strategy and day‑to‑day delivery
  • High integrity and a commitment to building inclusive, high‑performing teams
