About Canopy Canopy is a wealth data platform for institutional wealth managers across Asia-Pacific. We aggregate data from 100+ custodians and banks, giving family offices, external asset managers, and UHNW individuals a single, accurate view of their entire portfolio — across jurisdictions, asset classes, and currencies.
The numbers: 60+ institutional clients, 1,600+ active users, $120B+ in assets under reporting across Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, ASEAN, and Europe.
What makes us different: AI is embedded in how we process data, serve clients, and build product — not bolted on as an afterthought. We're backed by institutional VCs and prominent family offices, and we're at a stage where every person we bring in shapes what this company becomes.
Our team is ~15 people across Singapore and Hong Kong, and growing.
The RoleYou'll work closely with management to build and run the people infrastructure that supports our next phase of growth.
We're looking for someone who brings discipline to the fundamentals — recruitment, compliance, payroll, onboarding — while being adaptable enough to operate in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and processes are still being established. You'll have real influence on how this company runs from the inside.
What You'll Own- Talent Acquisition
Lead the hiring process end-to-end — from crafting job postings and sourcing candidates to screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding. You'll partner with hiring managers who have a clear picture of what they need; your role is to build the pipeline and deliver results. - HR Administration & Compliance
Employment contracts, MOM filings, CPF contributions, work permit applications (SG). Leave management, probation tracking, contract renewals. You ensure records are accurate, deadlines are met, and the company stays compliant. - Payroll Operations
Process monthly payroll in-house — salary calculations, CPF submissions, tax filings, and payslip distribution. Handle employee queries on deductions, leave balances, and claims. Accuracy and timeliness are non-negotiable. - Onboarding & Offboarding
Design a seamless experience for new joiners — from account setup and equipment to a structured first-week programme. Run exit processes with the same level of care: clearance, knowledge transfer, and a proper close. - Performance Management Operations
We've established performance scoring frameworks for our technical and data teams. Managers own the assessments — you own the rhythm. Ensure scores are submitted on schedule, maintain the review calendar, compile performance data, surface trends, and keep the cycle running. Your role is to make sure performance management is consistent and accountable across the organisation. - Office Administration (SG)
Coordinate day-to-day office logistics — vendor management, workspace setup for new hires, supplies, and company-wide announcements.
- 2–4 years of HR generalist experience spanning recruitment, compliance, payroll, and operations
- Working knowledge of Singapore employment law — Employment Act, CPF, MOM regulations
- Hands‑on recruitment experience — you've sourced, screened, and closed hires directly, not only through agencies
- Fluent English; conversational Mandarin is a strong advantage (our team spans SG and HK)
- Strong organisational skills and follow-through — you manage multiple priorities without letting things slip
- Comfortable working with modern tools — Notion, Slack, and AI‑assisted workflows are part of how we operate
- Experience in a startup or high‑growth environment
- Background in fintech, wealth tech, or financial services
- IHRP certification
