We are seeking a proactive and pragmatic HR Business Partner to join our Federation. In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor to academy leaders, helping to shape a high‑performing, engaged, and inclusive workforce.
This is more than just an advisory role; it is an opportunity to lead organisational change, coach senior leaders, and drive the people strategy that directly supports the success of our students and staff.
Position Details- Salary: GBP 24 – GBP 29 per hour

Key Responsibilities- Strategic Partnering:
Provide expert advice on workforce planning, performance management, and staff wellbeing to academy leadership. - Complex Employee Relations:
Lead on high‑level ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and capability management, ensuring full legal compliance. - Organisational Change:
Manage restructures and TUPE transfers, guiding leaders through consultation processes and maintaining positive trade union relationships. - Leadership
Coaching:
Strengthen management capability by coaching senior leaders in best practices and informal dispute resolution. - Data‑Driven Insights:
Analyse workforce trends to design initiatives that improve retention, attendance, and the overall employee experience. - Policy and Compliance:
Stay at the forefront of employment law, updating policies and managing employment tribunal cases or settlement agreements where necessary. - Team Leadership:
Line manage and mentor HR Advisers, fostering a culture of professional excellence.

These are some of the requirements that we need to get you cleared for this role:
We are looking for a credible professional who can navigate the complexities of a multi‑site organisation with empathy and authority.
- Experience:
Significant experience at an HRBP or Senior Advisory level within a complex organisation. - Expertise:
Deep knowledge of employment law and a proven track record of managing complex ER cases and restructuring. - Qualifications:
CIPD qualified (or equivalent professional experience). - Skills:
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable HR projects. - Communication:
The ability to influence, challenge, and coach senior stakeholders with professionalism.
- Previous experience within the Education or Public Sector.
- Accreditation in specific HR method
