About

the Role

The Employee Relations Senior Manager serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on all matters related to workplace conduct, conflict, and compliance. This role owns the end-to-end employee relations caseload — leading impartial investigations, coaching leaders through complex people issues, and ensuring the organization's policies and practices are fair, consistent, and legally sound. The ideal candidate combines deep employment-law knowledge with strong judgment, discretion, and the interpersonal skill to de-escalate sensitive situations and build trust across all levels of the organization.

What

You'll Be Doing Employee Relations & Case Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, managing a caseload of grievances, complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary issues from intake through resolution.
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations; document findings and recommend appropriate corrective action.
  • Advise and guide employees and managers on the interpretation and consistent application of company policies, procedures, applicable employment law and with guidance from the employment legal team.
  • Lead or contribute to organisation‑wide Employee Relations programmes and initiatives, including organisational change, redundancy and transformation activity involving multiple stakeholders.
Manager Coaching & Guidance
  • Coach people managers through performance management, progressive discipline, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and difficult conversations.
  • Partner with People Partners and leadership to resolve complex, escalated, or high-sensitivity employee issues.
  • Build manager capability through proactive guidance and training.
Policy, Compliance & Risk
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local employment laws and regulations; monitor legislative changes and update policies and practices accordingly.
  • Develop, review, and revise People policies and employee relations procedures.
  • Partner with Legal and outside employment counsel on high-risk matters
  • Manage terminations, offboarding, and reductions in force in a legally compliant, consistent, and respectful manner.
  • Facilitate mediation and conflict-resolution sessions between individuals or teams, working toward durable, fair outcomes.
  • Identify and address interpersonal or cultural issues before they escal
  • Track, analyze, and report on employee relations trends, metrics, and case outcomes; identify root causes and recommend proactive interventions.
  • Design and deliver training for managers and employees on topics such as anti-harassment, code of conduct, respectful workplace, and investigation best practices in collaboration with the Compliance team.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture.

  • Proven experience operating as an ER practitioner at a senior level, with the ability to execute independently while contributing to broader global strategy.
  • Fresh, innovative, and data-driven thinking applied to complex ER challenges — with a growth mindset and a track record of high-impact outcomes.
  • Strong business and people acumen, with excellent consulting, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills across diverse cultural contexts.
