We’re excited to be working with a Digital Health Tech Company to recruit a HR Support Apprentice to join the HR & People team.

Location: Remote, in person once per month for a team meeting in London, Holborn, WC2B 6NH

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic HR Apprentice to join our People team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the entire Human Resources function, playing a key role in supporting our team and contributing to our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). You will support administrative tasks, employee lifecycle processes, and specific projects related to our social value initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

Administration & Employee Lifecycle:

Support the HR team with general administrative duties, including maintaining accurate employee records in our HR system, filing, and managing HR correspondence.

Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees, including preparing offer letters and coordinating pre-employment checks.

Manage documentation related to the full employee life cycle, including assisting with offboarding tasks.

Benefits & Allowances Support:

Assist with enquiries related to employee benefits, such as holiday entitlement and general queries

Help maintain and update internal documentation, such as employee handbooks and holiday calendars.

DEIB & Social Value Initiatives:

Support the implementation and tracking of the company's DEIB Plan.

Assist in gathering and reporting on workforce demographics and equality metrics to meet internal and external reporting requirements.

Conduct research and support projects related to social value accreditations, such as Disability Confident, Living Wage Employer, and the Race at Work Charter.

HR Projects:

Support the coordination of internal training and development programs, particularly those focused on inclusive and accessible development practices.

Assist in the research and organization of new talent initiatives, including managing aspects of the apprenticeship program and other training schemes.

Office Management:

Assist the Office Manager with assigned tasks, including office management and finance related duties

What They’re Looking For:

A strong desire to start a career in Human Resources or People Management.

Experience with in administration and/or HR

Excellent organisational and time-management skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace tools.

A proactive attitude and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Confident

Excellent at building relationships

Working Hours: Part Time - 30 hours per week,7.5 hours per day across 4 days including Fridays

Pay: £22,000 per annum

Training to be provided: A nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification. HR Support Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, 18 months plus up to 12 weeks for end-point assessment.

Future Prospects: This apprenticeship may lead to a future permanent position.

Paid Travel Expenses: If you live outside the TfL Zone 9, you will be able to expense your reasonable economy travel to the London Office.

Annual Leave: 25 days’ annual leave, as well as Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve off, should they fall on weekdays. You will be allowed to carry over 5 days holiday to the following year, however you must use a minimum of 20 days holiday each year.

Child First Day Sick: As part of their flexible working approach, having a sick child can be a logistical challenge whilst working. That’s why they allow employees a paid day for a child’s first sickness day, to take the opportunity to organise childcare arrangements etc.

Sick Pay: Subject to complying with the Sickness Policy and contractual obligations, they will pay up to 10 days sickness absence in a rolling 12 month period.

Other Leave: They offer compassionate leave, time off for professional study and much more!

Pension: Matched pension scheme (they will match up to 5%), after 90 days of joining (auto-enrolment postponement period). Pension scheme is with ‘Now’ Pensions, and is operated on a ‘Salary Exchange’ basis.

Vitality Private Health Cover: Once the 3 month probation period is passed successfully, you will be eligible to join Vitality Private Health Scheme (offered for the employee only). Note that this is a taxable benefit and you may decide not to join the scheme. In addition, part time employees will be asked to make a contribution towards their premium
