An established international specialist recruitment business is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support its continued growth across the UK, Europe and Africa.
This is a pure business development position
, focused on winning and developing client relationships rather than candidate delivery.
Working closely with an established international delivery team, you will be responsible for opening new accounts, developing strategic client relationships and securing contingent and retained recruitment assignments across the Renewable Energy, Power, Infrastructure and Sustainability sectors.
About the ClientOur client is an established international specialist providing Recruitment, Manpower and Employer of Record (EOR) services to the Renewable Energy and Sustainability sectors.
The business has a long-established presence across Africa and has grown from an initial operation of three staff into an international organisation with a network of offices, consultants and delivery capabilities across its key markets.
Its history extends beyond traditional recruitment, having supported renewable-energy organisations, developers and international stakeholders across a diverse range of projects and markets throughout Africa.
The business focuses on three core areas- Specialist Recruitment – supporting clients with permanent, contingent and retained recruitment assignments.
- Manpower Services – providing specialist personnel to support renewable-energy and infrastructure projects.
- Employer of Record (EOR) – enabling international organisations to employ and mobilise people across African markets.
Following continued growth, the business is now looking to further develop its client base across the UK, Europe and Africa
, creating an opportunity for an experienced recruitment business developer to play a key role in its next stage of expansion.
You will take responsibility for identifying, approaching and developing new clients across the UK, Europe and Africa.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new client relationships across Renewable Energy, Power, Infrastructure and associated technical markets.
- Engaging with senior decision-makers, hiring managers and business leaders.
- Securing contingent and retained recruitment assignments.
- Developing long-term strategic accounts.
- Negotiating recruitment terms, preferred supplier agreements and MSAs.
- Identifying opportunities across existing and emerging renewable-energy markets.
- Working closely with an established delivery team responsible for candidate sourcing and recruitment delivery.
- Identifying opportunities for the wider Manpower and EOR service offering.
- Attending relevant industry events and developing the company’s presence within the renewable-energy community.
- Building a sustainable pipeline of new clients and assignments.
The first-year objective will be to secure approximately 25–30 assignments with a combined potential fee value of around £600,000
.

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate:
- A successful track record of winning new business within recruitment.
- Experience with in Renewable Energy, Power, Infrastructure, Engineering, Sustainability or an associated technical sector.
- Strong commercial and client-development skills.
- Experience securing contingent and/or retained recruitment assignments.
- The ability to engage credibly with senior-level clients.
- An established network within the UK and/or European markets.
