About you
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).

  • Proven experience in HR Operations within a global or multi-country organisation.

  • Strong expertise in workforce planning, budgeting, forecasting and HR analytics.

  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law, right-to-work requirements and IR35 compliance.

  • Experience managing compensation, benefits, salary review and reward processes.

  • Strong policy development, process improvement and HR governance capability.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

  • Commercially minded, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

About the role

The HR Manager plays a key role in supporting the CHRO and wider business by delivering strategic and operational HR services across a global workforce. This role combines HR analytics, workforce planning, compensation management, compliance, employee engagement, and project leadership to ensure alignment between HR practices and business and financial objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead workforce planning, budgeting and forecasting activities, including headcount planning, vacancy costing, promotions, market adjustments and contractor spend.

  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to align workforce plans with organisational objectives and budget forecasts.

  • Manage employee relations matters, supporting managers and leaders to ensure fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.

  • Coordinate probation review processes, including documentation, stakeholder management and employee meetings.

  • Support UK employment processes, including settlement agreements and compliance with employment legislation.

  • Deliver annual salary review, bonus and promotion cycles, ensuring accurate calculations, communications and approvals.

  • Conduct market benchmarking to support competitive and equitable reward practices.

  • Manage UK employee benefits programmes and associated vendor relationships and data administration.

  • Provide efficient, high-quality HR operational support, responding to employee and manager queries across a global workforce.

  • Identify and implement improvements to HR processes, systems and documentation.

  • Oversee the contractor lifecycle, including contracts, renewals, compliance, IR35 requirements and offboarding.

  • Manage UK right-to-work and sponsorship processes, working closely with external immigration advisers to ensure compliance.

  • Support recruitment activities, providing interview support, workforce insights and governance against approved headcount plans.

  • Manage key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probation, promotions, job changes and offboarding.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate employment documentation, records and HR data.

  • Develop, review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK and Ireland legislation and best practice.

  • Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring HR records remain accurate, compliant and audit-ready.
