Working Pattern: Hybrid Working – 2 to 3 Days Per Week in the Office/Depot
SummaryBarnet Council is seeking a skilled HR Administrator to join their HR Transaction Team on a temporary basis. This role is pivotal in supporting recruitment, HR administration, payroll processes, and workforce compliance. The successful candidate will ensure that HR transactions are executed with precision and adhere to council policies and safeguarding standards. Collaborating with Resource Officers, HR Business Partners, Payroll, and service managers, you will contribute to delivering a professional and customer-oriented HR service throughout the organization.
Responsibilities- Accurately and efficiently process a variety of HR transactions.
- Assist with recruitment administration and onboarding tasks.
- Coordinate and oversee pre-employment checks.
- Handle DBS applications, renewals, and workforce safeguarding procedures.
- Ensure compliance with employment checks and ongoing workforce monitoring.
- Support payroll administration and employee lifecycle processes.
- Address HR inquiries from managers and employees, offering prompt and professional guidance.
- Maintain precise employee records and HR systems.
- Collaborate with Resource Officers, Payroll Teams, HR Business Partners, and service departments.
- Aid in the delivery of recruitment, HR administration, and payroll functions.
- Ensure all HR processes align with employment legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HR Transaction Team.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in HR Administration, Recruitment Administration, or HR Transactional roles.
- Experience in processing pre-employment checks and employment documentation.
- Proficiency in managing DBS applications and renewals.
- Familiarity with HR administration processes and employee lifecycle activities.
- Experience with HR systems and maintaining employee records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong administrative and data management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and colleagues.
- Experience in a Local Authority or Public Sector environment.
- Experience supporting payroll-related administration.
- Understanding of workforce safeguarding requirements.
- Familiarity with recruitment and onboarding processes.
