To support the People team in delivering an outstanding People service across the Group by providing efficient, accurate and timely operational, recruitment and onboarding support. The role is responsible for coordinating recruitment administration, pre-employment screening and onboarding activities, while ensuring employee records and People systems are accurately maintained. The postholder will act as a key point of contact for candidates, employees and managers, helping to deliver a positive candidate and employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle and supporting continuous improvement across People processes.
MainDuties and Responsibilities People Operations
- Coordinate operational People processes, liaising with key stakeholders across the business and People team.
- Process full employee lifecycle documentation, including starters, leavers and contractual changes.
- Coordinate and administer all pre-employment checks, including Right to Work checks, DBS checks, references and other required screening activities.
- Manage the onboarding process for new starters, acting as the primary point of contact, coordinating documentation, system access, equipment requirements, inductions and onboarding activities, whilst monitoring progress to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records on the HRIS and secure electronic personnel files.
- Maintain accurate records across People Operations, recruitment and onboarding systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Maintain and update Single Central Records (SCR).
- Maintain and update People forms, templates and documentation as required.
- Produce monthly and ad hoc People, recruitment and onboarding reports, supporting analysis of key workforce metrics.
- Ensure recruitment, onboarding and payroll-related information is processed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Support the preparation and submission of new starter, leaver and contractual change information for payroll within agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate induction activities, employee training and People initiatives.
- Support the People Operations Manager with continuous process improvements.
- Manage the posting and administration of vacancies across appropriate recruitment platforms and channels for the Group (UK & RoW).
- Coordinate recruitment activities, candidate communications and hiring manager liaison for your assigned division.
- Liaise with hiring managers and key stakeholders to ensure smooth recruitment and onboarding experience.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities in accordance with safeguarding, safer recruitment and company policies and procedures.
- Other ad hoc projects and tasks that may occur.
- Support the review and continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Monitor onboarding progress and maintain People Ops trackers.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- Undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
- Educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent qualification and experience)
- Experience working in a fast-paced administrative, HR, recruitment, onboarding or customer service environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Experience coordinating processes, maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
- Experience delivering a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders. Understanding of employee lifecycle processes and safer recruitment principles.
- Experience working within a People/HR team (Desirable)
- Experience using HRIS, ATS or recruitment systems. (Desirable)
- Experience with in an education, training or regulated environment. (Desirable)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage high-volume administrative activities efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and professional communications and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
- Strong customer service focus with a commitment to delivering a positive candidate and employee experience.
